Calculating How Much Profitable YouTube Niches Earn
The metric we’ll be focusing on throughout this guide is called CPM. CPM is short for “cost per mille” or “thousand impressions.” It’s just a fancy term for cost per one thousand views.

You can calculate your CPM by taking your total number of video views, in a month for example, and dividing it by 1, 000. Then multiply that number by the CPM rate. That would be the total amount made in one month by that Youtube channel.
I just started a Youtube channel and as of writing this article, I currently have just about 10k subscribers — a relatively small channel. Currently, my channel sees about 300,000 views per month — that’s about 10k views per day.
With that said, to give aspiring Youtubers a reasonable estimate for a new and relatively smaller channel, I’ll be using 10k views per day as a default metric as we discuss youtube niches by profitability.

This is a weird one, I’ll admit. But people are making serious bank by doing ASMR videos.

For those of you who don’t know, ASMR is basically a form of meditative self-sensory stimulation. The most popular ASMR videos include whispering or rubbing and tapping on the mic or simply talking to the viewers in a calm and soothing voice.
Mukbang is a style of ASMR where someone is eating and may include talking about their food on camera.
How much money do ASMR YouTubers make?
Averaging around $0.30 CPM, as a new YouTuber with let’s say 10k daily viewers on your channel… you can expect to earn around $3 per day creating videos in this niche?!!
Mmmkkk. This is a niche you’d have to get tons and tons of views to be able to make any real money. While it’s not the most profitable Youtube niche with regards to being the highest CPM niche, surprisingly, is not uncommon for creators in this genre to make a substantial income.
The top earners in the ASMR space like Gibi ASMR are estimated to be earning upwards of $128.4K in monthly earnings according to Social Blade… by whispering people to sleep on Youtube.

When I first started creating swimsuit haul videos, I imagined that my audience would be mostly women looking for swimsuits for their upcoming vacations. Much to my surprise, I found that my videos started gaining popularity amongst, well, men!

But I digress, sexy swimsuit hauls and lingerie hauls, in particular, are a very popular niche here on youtube.
How much money do Try-On Haul YouTubers make?
For this, I’ll give you a peek into my personal youtube analytics. Clothing hauls as opposed to swimsuit hauls, although these videos get fewer views, they earn a higher CPM. My most popular swimsuit try-on haul videos earn anywhere from $1.02 to $2.31 CPM.
If I average 10k daily views, with this type of content, that’s approx $300.00 – $690.00 per month.
One of my favorite sexy try-on-haul channels is Natbelleza which at the moment has about 85k subscribers. According to Social Blade, her channel earns upwards of $7.2K per month.

One of my favorite lifestyle channels is Kelly Stamps. She creates funny videos, skits, and vlog-style content, and with just around half a million subscribers reportedly has earned upwards of $40k per month.
