Alright, ready a round up of the most instagram able locations in Tulum? Let’s get into it!
1. Ven a la Luz / Tulum Statue
- 📍Carretera Tulum Boca Paila KM 7.5
- 🖥 http://www.rawlovekitchen.com/
- 📸 Instagram: @rawlovetulum
Although “Tulum statue” is not the official name for this pretty Instagram spot in Tulum, you might as well call it that because it’s become synonymous with tiny town. I think it may an even more popular Instagram location than the much more substantive Tulum Ruins.
If you want to secure your perfect IG shot here, make your way to Tulum main beach hip strip where you find all the most popular restaurants and beach clubs. This structure is located at the entrance of cafe Raw Love and AHAU.
We got there around 10 am and had to wait in line behind other eager tourists for about 25 minutes to get our snap. As we left, the line had gotten even longer (perhaps about 1-hour wait which is ridiculous). With that said, get there early in the morning so you can get your shot and get on with your vacation (and other Instagram photos).
2. Raw Love

Once you get upstairs, kick off your shoes and climb into the giant hammocks for the perfect shot.
The girls and I had breakfast here and to be honest, I wasn’t too thrilled with our experience upon arrival. When we got to the host stand, even with our reservation, we had to pay a minimum before sitting down to order our breakfast. I’ve been to countless restaurants all over the world and have never had that experience before. Make of that what you will. Either way, the food was delicious and the Instagram photos… incredible!

- 🖥 https://www.facebook.com/IScreamBar/

BONUS: Cenotes
Most Beautiful Instagram Spots in Tulum
A cenote is a natural pit, or sinkhole, resulting from the collapse of limestone bedrock that exposes groundwater. Cenotes are absolutely beautiful natural wonders to enjoy a swim and take beautiful Instagram photos. In the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico where Tulum is located, there are at least 6,000 cenotes to choose from. The most popular of which for Instagram pictures I will list down below.
Grand Cenote
The stunning Gran Cenote is situated about 20 minutes by car just outside Tulum town. It will cost you is MX$180 or USD$10 and a shower (you’ll have to wash off all those toxic deodorants and lotions) to enter the swimming area.
This was perhaps the highlight of my trip to Tulum. This place is so pretty and the water is surprisingly not cold at all. Take a swim into the cave and you’ll see fish in the water, bats hanging from atop, signing birds flying in an out, oh and turtles too.
Cenote Dos Ojos
About 25 minutes outside of Tulum town you will find Cenote Dos Ojos, one of the most famous and largest cenotes in all of Mexico.
Cenote Ik Kil
Perhaps one of the most Instagramable cenotes if you truly want to secure IG vitality is Cenote Ik Kil which is located in Chichén Itzá. To get there you’ll have to trek 1.5 hours by car outside of Tulum.
Cenote Suytun
Famous for the dazzling light beams which descend directly onto its circular viewing platform, Cenote Suytun is a unique and beautiful cenote and a popular stop for those exploring Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Cenote Suytun is located about 1 hours and 15 minutes or about 60 miles outside of Tulum.
Cenote Calavera
Many locals refer to this cenote as the skull cenote or skull cave because of its unique resemblance to the shape of a skull face.
